Uzbekistan Airways transports over 1.88m passengers in Jan-Sep

Tashkent, Uzbekistan ( -- Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways) transported 1.882 million passengers in January-September 2016, which fell by 5% compared to the same period of 2015, the session of the Council of the national airline of Uzbekistan said.

The Uzbek airline said that it conducted 16,692 flights in January-September 2016.

At the same time, the airline increased transportation on foreign destination by 0.8% and decreased flights to CIS states by 4.2% and internal flights by 14.4%.

Uzbekistan Havo Yollari underlined that the average passenger load per flight made up 113 passengers. The passenger load made up 74.54% and commercial load – 55.57%.

The freight airplanes of Uzbekistan Havo Yollari conducted 734 flights in January-September 2016, which grew by 46 flights year-on-year. The airline transported 30,600 tonnes of cargo, which fell by 1.6% in nine months of 2015.

The airline conducts regular freight flights from Navoi airport to Frankfurt, Dehli, Dubai, Shanghai, Tehran, Bishkek, transporting 27,000 tonnes of cargoes. The airline works on launching regular flights to Shijiazhuang.
