UMS installs 56 new 3G base stations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Mobile operator Universal Mobile Systems (UMS) launched 56 new base stations of UMTS 2100 standard in cities and districts of Namangan and Ferghana region in November 2016.
Paying attention to development of LTE and modernization of 2G networks, UMS also improves 3G network in the regions of Uzbekistan.
The operator said that some 20 base stations were launched in Namangan region, which helped to improve quality of services in Namangan city and the districts of the region.
Some 36 new base stations were launched in Ferghana region, which helped drastically improve network capacity in Ferghana, Qoqand, Margilan, Yazyavan.
Olga Filatova, IMS technical director, said that the company will continue to invest into expanding capacity of network in November-December 2016 and during 2017.
