Uzbek ICT Minister receives OSCE ODIHR mission

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan Hurshid Mirzahidov met with the Head of the core team of the Mission of observers from the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE ODIHR) for observation of presidential elections in Uzbekistan, Ambassador Peter Tejler on 22 November.
According to the press service of the Uzbek ministry, representatives of OSCE ODIHR mission received information on current state and perspectives of development of e-government and modern ICT in Uzbekistan.
The mission also was familiarized with the measures, adopted to introduce ICT in process of forming of civil society, developing e-government, use of ICT technologies in the presidential election campaign.
It was noted that development of e-government is important factor for improving prosperity of people and economic growth of the country.
The sides exchanged opinion on latest trends and perspectives of developing ICT at global level.
