Flights between Tashkent and Dushanbe to resume in January 2017

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Air communication between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan will resume in January 2017, International Dushanbe Airport said.
According to the airport, the delegation of Uzbekistan led by Deputy of the State Inspectorate for Supervision of safety Oleg Lim.
The Uzbek delegation familiarized with the International Dushanbe Airport and held talks at the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan.
After the meeting, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan signed a protocol on cooperation and the resumption of air links Dushanbe-Tashkent-Dushanbe.
The flight between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan will be resumed in early 2017. Under the signed cooperation protocol, the flight between Dushanbe and Tashkent will be operated twice a week by the airline Somon Air and Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways).
Oleg Lim said that the Uzbek side is ready to start operating flights to Dushanbe since the beginning of January 2017.
