Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan develops a concept of reforms in the sphere of administrative governance for 2017-2021, President-elect of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev said at the solemn event dedicated to the 24th anniversary of the Constitution.
He said that the concept envisages measures on optimizing the structure, tasks and authorities of bodies of state governance, reducing its nonpertinent and duplicating functions, cutting the total number of employees.
He said that these measures will dramatically decrease the role of state in management of economy.
“We will pay a special attention to improving the activity of the executive apparatus of the Office of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers, and ensuring the effective implementation of laws, decrees and resolutions being adopted,” he said.
“Along with this, we will create an effective system on reforming the institution of public service, thoroughly improving the material and social welfare of public servicemen and their professional competency, as well as hiring the newly thinking, accountable, initiative- and patriotic-minded cadres for public service,” he noted.
Mirziyoyev said that all of these issues will be reflected in the forthcoming law “On the public service”.
