Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and France signed an intergovernmental agreement on establishing and activities of the French Development Agency and PROPARCO in Uzbekistan.
The document was signed on 8 December after negotiations of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development Jean-Marc Ayrault in Hamburg (Germany), the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
Abdulaziz Kamilov participate the 23rd OSCE Ministerial Council in Hamburg (Germany).
During the talks, the sides discussed actual issues of the bilateral relations and exchanged opinion on some international and regional issues.
After the talks, the agreement between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Government of France on establishing and activities of the French Development Agency and PROPARCO in Uzbekistan was signed.
The agreement determines order and conditions of activities of French Development Agency and its subsidiary Promotion et Participation pour la Coopération économique (PROPARCO) in the territory of Uzbekistan.
The document will come into force after the countries conduct internal procedures. The sides noted that the document will help to expand investment and financial-technical cooperation between Uzbekistan and France, as well as improve efficiency of realization of joint projects.
