Uzbekistan continues to export green mung to India

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan exported 67,000 tonnes of green mung bean in 2016, which rose by three times compared to 2015, UzAgroExport said in a statement.
UzAgroExport started to export green mung beans to India in the fourth quarter of 2016 in line with the agreements, signed with Sri Niwas Dall And Besan Mill, Green Field Agro, Avika Foods and Eco Green Import & Export.
Uzbekistan is shipping green mung to India from from Namangan, Samarkand, Tashkent, Ferghana and Khorezm regions.
During the first decade of January 2017, UzAgroExport shipped around 300 tonnes of green mung beans to Indian partners and the company is planning to ship over 2,000 tonnes of mung to India until the end of the month.
According to the recommendations of Indian partners, the company is planning to seed and to export new verities of mung, including Black Matpe, from different regions of Uzbekistan.
