World Bank delegation holds talks at Economy Ministry

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the World Bank led by Vice President of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia Cyril Muller held negotiations at the Ministry of Economy of Uzbekistan.
During the talks, the sides discussed cooperation between Uzbekistan and the World Bank.
In particular, the sides discussed perspective directions of expansion of the implementation of promising investment projects in the fields of electric power, irrigation and modernization of utilities, water, industrial development, transport and social infrastructure.
In 2016, Uzbekistan and the World Bank signed a country partnership programme for 2016-2020, which includes 27 priority projects worth US$4 billion. The World Bank will issue loans for US$3 billion.
