Uzbekistan to abolish so-called “mobile slavery”

Tashkent, Uzbekistan ( -- Uzbekistan is considering opportunity to abolish so-called “mobile slavery”, director-general of Uzbektelecom Shukhrat Qodirov said.

He said that during last 3-4 months there are discussions on this issue.

Qodirov said that currently laws and technical issues are considered. He said that the meetings of the heads and specialists of mobile operators are held to discuss this issue. He said that there is serious work and it can be solved positively between six to one year.

“Mobile slavery” is called a lack of the ability to save your number when changing the mobile operator.
