Uzbek President reviews projects, implemented in SIA “Yangiyer”

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoev reviewed projects, implemented in the small industrial area “Yangiyer” during his visit to Sirdarya region.

Uzbek leader signed a resolution on creation of small industrial zone Yangiyer on 30 March 2017.

This industrial area provides for the implementation of 125 projects with a total value of almost $106 million, during the period of 2017-2018.

These projects are in the field of the production of high-quality products in textile, leather and footwear, chemical and food industries, in the fields of electrical engineering, building materials, processing of fruits. Their successful implementation will create more than 3 200 new jobs.

The small industrial area covers an area of over 537 hectares.

The President of Uzbekistan toured the idle building of the former unitary enterprise “Yangieryo’lindustriya” on the territory of the industrial zone. It covers an area of 9 hectares. A Yangiyer factory for production of ferroconcrete and metal constructions is under construction on its basis. Itss capacity will make up 83 thousand cubic meters of concrete products per year and 5.5 thousand tons of structural steel. For this project it is planned to invest 80 billion soums of investments. This will create 1 250 new jobs.
