Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the mausoleum and mosque of Suzuk-ot on 26 May in Shaykhantahur district of Tashkent, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan said.
According to our sacred religion, the suras from the Koran were read in the mausoleum.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed the responsible officials to reconstruct the mausoleum and the mosque, and to improve the adjacent territory.
These mosques and mausoleum should serve to further increase the spirituality of the population, strengthen the spirit of goodness and generosity in Uzbekistan, the head of state said. It is necessary to organize a craft center and a library.
Suzuk-ota, who received the birth of the name Mustafokul, was born in 1140. He was the youngest son of Gavkhari Khustosh, the daughter of Ahmad Yassawi. Suzuk-ota brought up hundreds of students, taught crafts, honest work. In the years 1363-1364, our great ancestor Amir Temur built a mausoleum and a mosque at the grave of his grandson Yassawi Suzuka-ota.
In the years of independence, this sacred place of worship was restored, landscaped. In the gathering of citizens of the makhalla "Suzuk-ota" live more than five thousand people. The mahalla develops handicrafts, carpentry, carving.
