Uzbekistan plans to increase gas exports to China

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans to increase the annual volume of gas supplies to China up to 10 billion cubic meters, chairman of the board of Uzbekneftegaz Alisher Sultanov said.
He recalled that Uzbekistan and China had signed a medium-term agreement on the supply of Uzbek gas to China within the framework of the visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to China in May.
Alisher Sultanov specified that the agreement was signed fore three years. Within the framework of the document, Uzbekistan will increase the volume of the gas supplies to 10 billion cubic meters a year in 2018-2020.
Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan supply to China gas through the Central Asia-China gas pipeline with the capacity of 50 billion cubic meters a year. The pipeline has three lines now.
