Nine citizens of Uzbekistan died in road accident in Kazakhstan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan is taking steps to provide assistance to victims of a road accident in Kazakhstan.
According to media reports, on 22 June 2017, a bus, which was heading from Shymkent to Volgograd (Russia), overturned in Akmola region of Kazakhstan.
Several people, including citizens of Uzbekistan, died in the result of the road accident, Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
Consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan are taking measures to identify victims and provide necessary assistance to injured people, the Uzbek ministry added.
Double-decker Mercedes bus overturned in Aitekebi district on 946 km of the Samara-Shymkent highway at 10:20 of 22 June 2017.
There were 52 people on board, including 50 citizens of Uzbekistan and 2 citizens of Kazakhstan. The bus was heading from Shymkent to Volgograd.
As a result of the accident, 9 citizens of Uzbekistan were killed. Another 18 people - 17 citizens of Uzbekistan and 1 citizen of Kazakhstan were taken to the hospital. Medical assistance on the spot was provided to 25 victims.
