Abdulaziz Kamilov held talks with the head of the UNRCCA

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) and Special representative of the UN Secretary-General Petko Draganov on 11 August.

Petko Dragano arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the international conference “Central Asia - the main priority of Uzbekistan’s foreign policy”.

The sides exchanged views on the topic submitted to the forum, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

It was noted that the meeting anticipates an international conference under the auspices of the United Nations “Central Asia: One Past and One Future, Cooperation for Sustainable Development and Mutual Prosperity”, which will be held in Samarkand in November 2017.

The event will be attended by foreign ministers, not only of the states of the region, but also other countries of the world, leaders of leading international and regional organizations.

Other issues on the regional agenda were also discussed at the meeting.
