MPs discuss draft law on protecting children from harmful information

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan discussed a draft law “On protecting children from information, which is harmful to their health” in the second reading.
In the process of finalizing the draft law, the deputies analyzed proposals received, many of which were constructive.
In particular, the proposal to include health care institutions to the system of bodies and institutions, which protect children from information, which is harmful to their health.
The deputies stressed that the draft law was developed taking into account experience of developed democratic countries and international treaties in the field of protecting the morality and well-being of children in need of special protection, protecting younger generation from harmful information.
The experience of the countries of the European Union, in particular, Germany, Italy, France, Great Britain, Lithuania, as well as the USA, Japan and other countries was also taken into account.
