Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan sign package of documents

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan signed a package of documents on the results of negotiations between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev.

In particular, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Almazbek Atambayev signed a Joint Statement and an Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek State Border.

In the presence of heads of state, the following documents were adopted and signed:

Memorandum on cooperation between the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on cooperation and mutual assistance on compliance with tax legislation;

Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the activities of border officials;

Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on cooperation in the field of higher education;

Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on scientific and technical cooperation;

Protocol on the exchange of instruments of ratification of the Consular Convention between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan;

Agreement between the Mayor of Osh city of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Khokimiyat of the city of Andijan of the Republic of Uzbekistan on cooperation in trade, economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres;

Agreement on cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

Memorandum of Understanding between the National Institute for Strategic Studies of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

Agreement between the City Hall of Bishkek and the Hokimiat of Tashkent;

Joint action plan of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on further deepening and expanding cooperation between the border regions 2017-2019;

Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on interregional cooperation.
