Uzbekistan plans to introduce simplified procedure for issuing visas for 25 countries

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans to introduce a simplified procedure for issuing visas for 25 countries, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Gayrat Fazilov said during the session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.
According to him, Uzbekistan is developing a decision on introducing simplified procedure for issuing visas for 25 countries. He recalled that a simplified procedure for issuing visas had been previously introduced for citizens of Turkey and Poland.
Also, Uzbekistan is developing a decision on introducing visa-free travel regime for citizens of Japan, South Korea and Singapore, Gayrat Fazilov noted.
Uzbekistan plans to launch an electronic visa system. Fazilov said that in 2018, all consular services will be provided in electronic format, which will minimize the personal presence of the applicant in diplomatic institutions of Uzbekistan abroad.
