Over 336,000 new jobs created in Uzbekistan in 2017 - President

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan created more than 336,000 new jobs in 2017. This was stated by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in his message to the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The President noted that during the year, Uzbekistan focused on organization of new jobs, which is extremely important for the country.
In 2017, thanks to the construction of new industrial enterprises, development of small business and private entrepreneurship, over 336,000 new jobs were organized, he added.
“Obviously, since we identified the issue of providing jobs to population as a priority task, we, in the future, should attach special importance to further increase of these indicators in terms of both quantity and quality,” the President stressed.
