Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in his address to the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan proposed to close all road patrol stations on the borders of the regions.
Currently, the presence of road patrol stations between the regions restricts freedom of movement and adversely affects trade and economic relations, domestic and inbound tourism, the Uzbek President said.
“Think for yourself, now there are more than 60 such stations on the territory of our country. Now imagine, if an average citizen wants to drive from Khorezm to Tashkent by his car, he will pass 17 stations. A person traveling from Fergana region will face 8 such stations,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
In this regard, it is necessary to eliminate all road patrol stations on the borders of the regions, drastically reduce the number of stationary patrol service stations, Mirziyoyev added.
