Second train line to be launched in Samarkand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A second train line will be launched in Samarkand city on 30 January 2018, UzA reported.
According to the agency, new line links train station with Siab market. The test launch of train will take place on 25 January.
The length of the line is 5 km. Within the project, 18 stations were constructed. The interval between trams will be 7 minutes. Travel time from one end to another is 20 minutes.
Tram line was launched in Samarkand in April 2017. The first line connected train station with Sartepa district. Within the third stage, it is planned to construct line from Buyuk Ipak Yoli and Kimyogay village.
