Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan held negotiations with a group of companies Veolia (France), during which a range of issues on heat resources management and energy consumption in the city of Namangan was discussed.
The purpose of this meeting was to determine the mechanism for implementing an integrated energy services management system, as well as the uninterrupted supply and efficient distribution of heat throughout the city of Namangan.
The parties discussed the possibility of applying the latest developments of district heating systems of the fourth generation, as well as low-temperature equipment of the closed system, with maximum automation and remote control of the monitoring system.
Veolia intends to contribute to improvement of existing systems for providing resources in the Republic of Uzbekistan, and their reorganization on a modern innovative basis
The implementation of the task is planned to be carried out within the framework of a pilot project meeting world standards. In the course of the project, innovative technologies will be widely used to radically improve the quality of public utilities and ensure sustainable functioning of the city economy. As the first positive results are achieved, the experience of the project implementation is planned to be extended to other cities of the republic.
The project will help to improve heat supply in Namangan city, including ensuring a stable heat supply during the peak consumption period, prompt response and elimination of the consequences of accidents and emergencies.
It will also help to save 24.5 million cubic meters of natural gas per year, with potential foreign exchange earnings from its exports of up to US$3.1 million per year.
