“Open sky” regime to be introduced in three airports of Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An “open sky” regime will be introduced in three more international airports of Uzbekistan. This was stated at a video conference on development of the tourism sector, which was held on 22 February under the chairmanship of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
In early February 2018, President of Uzbekistan signed a resolution “On measures to develop inbound tourism”. In accordance with the document, Qarshi International Airport will be withdrawn from the structure of Uzbekiston Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways).
The airport will be transferred to management of a specialized company with introduction of "open sky" regime on its territory, including using low-costers.
At the meeting, it was noted the “open sky” regime will be introduced at the international airports of Andijan, Nukus and Navoi.
