Uzbekistan to send 50,000 workers to Russia in in 2018

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans officially to send about 50,000 citizens of the country to Russia in 2018 via organized recreuitment, Deputy Minister of Employment and Labor Relations Zakir Umarov said on 23 February.
According to him, the workers will be sent to the Russian Federation officially through the Agency for External Labor Migration.
At the same time, he added that Uzbekistan can adopt a law on recruitment activities, which will significantly expand organized sending of workers by private companies.
It should be noted that 922 citizens of Uzbekistan were officially sent to work in Russia in 2017.
According to the Ministry of Labor, more than 3,500 Uzbek citizens went abroad to work in 2017 within the framework of the organized recruitment of the Agency for External Labor Migration. Most of them - 2,613 citizens of Uzbekistan - were sent to South Korea.
