Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan proposed to create a special German industrial zone in Tashkent.
During the fourth meeting of the German-Uzbek Business Council, Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov proposed to create industrial zone on the basis of the Algoritm production complex in Tashkent with a territory of more than 16 hectares.
He noted that Uzbekistan proposes to create an industrial zone to create attractive conditions for German companies in the organization of high-tech and export-oriented industries.
The Head of the Government of Uzbekistan stressed that Uzbekistan is ready to transfer management of this zone to one of the companies of Germany.
Aripov said that the creation of the zone in Uzbekistan will promote the active involvement of German business in the country and will give an additional impetus to economic cooperation between the two countries.
At the same time, the Prime Minister underlined that Uzbekistan is ready for active cooperation in the regions of the country. He recalled that in the regions there are 14 free economic zones and more than 80 small industrial zones. In these zones, investors receive various preferences and benefits.
