Tashkent region and Tatarstan sign agreement on cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tashkent region of Uzbekistan and Tatarstan signed an agreement on cooperation. This was reported on the official website of Tatarstan.
The document was signed on the sidelines of SPIEF-2018 in St. Petersburg. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and khokim of Tashkent region Gulomjon Ibragimov signed the agreement.
Within the framework of the document, the parties intend to develop cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural spheres.
Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that Tatarstan attaches great importance to the development of contacts with Uzbekistan within the framework of Russian-Uzbek relations. In 2017, the volume of trade turnover grew by almost 80% to US$92 million.
At the same time, the President of Tatarstan noted the great potential for further development of trade and economic relations, expressing confidence that the signed agreement will contribute to this work.
