Indorama plans to invest US$225 million into Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Singapore-based Indorama plans to invest US$225 million to create a cotton cluster in Uzbekistan. This was stated by the representative of Indorama Industries Amit Jain.
According to him, the company intends to grow 100 thousand tons of cotton a year. This amount will cover the needs of textile enterprises and new projects in Uzbekistan, he added.
Jain said that now the company is negotiating to get land for this project. He added that the project will attract global brands to open their production in Uzbekistan.
