Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 29 July, the Tashkent city khokimiyat (administration) launches a series of large-scale festivals. The first event will be "Chilla Fest - 2018". The five largest parks of the capital will turn into centers of mass festivities.
The festival program "Chilla Fest - 2018" is designed for a multi-aged family audience. The event will provide a chance to citizens to spend time in the atmosphere of friendship, warmth, strengthening of family ties and love for their native city.
Open-air events will cover five locations: Lokomotiv Park, Central Park, Abdulla Kadiri Park, Anhor-Lokomotiv Park, Green Park.
At the parks, the organizers will add information and entertainment zones, art objects and performances of dance-vocal groups. The program of the festival will cover all age groups and create conditions for an interesting family and friendly pastime.
"Chilla Fest - 2018" will open with a welcoming address. Khokim of Tashkent Jahongir Artikhodjaev. Khokim will talk about the impact of such events on the appearance and atmosphere of the capital, the opportunities for residents to change the space around themselves, and also share plans for further transformation of the urban environment, describe the work done and future projects in the development of urban infrastructure. A live broadcast will be conducted on LED screens installed in all five parks.
“We want the townspeople to forget about business for a day and spend it with the most dear and close people - with their family. Tashkent is changing, improving itself, becoming more beautiful, convenient and open. Weather conditions and the park infrastructure allow organizing mass outdoor festivities in the capital. Thanks to the "Chilla Fest - 2018" simultaneously on five different venues, the walkers will not encounter a dense human stream and will choose a convenient location for themselves. We hope that next year other cities of Uzbekistan will add the city festival to the list of their cultural events,” Jahongir Artikhodjaev said.
