Uzbekistan and Belarus discuss development of cooperation in textile industry
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Khokim of Tashkent region of Uzbekistan Gulomjon Ibragimov held talks with the chairman of the concern "Bellegprom". This was reported by the press service of Bellegprom.
The participants of the working meeting showed interest in developing cooperation in the textile and leather-shoe industries of the enterprises of the concern "Bellegprom" and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Export of enterprises of Bellegprom and Uzbekistan for January-June 2018 made up US$293,900 or grew by 5.1% compared to the same period last year. The increase in export supplies was ensured due to an increase in the export of fabrics by Kamvol (3.4 times), hosiery (7 times), corsetry (1,7 times).
The main range of exports of Belarus to Uzbekistan are garments and knitwear, linens from cellulose fibers (JSC "Iskorzh"), artificial and synthetic fabrics (OJSC "Mogotex", JSC "Kamvol"), knitted fabrics (JSC "Belfa"), textile haberdashery (JSC "Tape" and others.
The main nomenclature of imports of Belarus from Uzbekistan are cotton yarn, cotton fiber and knitted cotton fabrics.
As a result of the working meeting, a Protocol of Intent was signed between the concern "Bellegprom" and Tashkent region of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
