Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Vnesheconombank and National Energy Saving Company (NESC, Uzbekistan) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
The document was signed by Vnesheconombank’s Deputy Chairman Daniil Algulyan and NESC’s Director General Daniyar Muratov.
The parties have agreed to boost mutually beneficial cooperation and strategic partnership in financing supplies of high-tech Russian products to Uzbekistan and work and services related to Uzbek energy efficiency and energy-saving projects.
“Support for Russian industrial export of energy goods, work and services, including energy generation and distribution, is seen as one of Vnesheconombank’s priorities. The Memorandum will contribute to the future development of business and R&D cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan,” Daniil Algulyan said.
“Cutting-edge Russian energy technologies will enable Uzbekistan to sustainably use its fuel an energy resources, improve labour productivity and product quality and build close relations with Russian partners. Loans granted by Vnesheconombank will help expand the line-up of financial instruments applied by the Company while providing various energy services, thus broadening energy efficiency initiatives implemented by domestic companies,” Daniyar Muratov pointed out.
Vnesheconombank will consider financing for a number of projects involving NESC and Russian companies and aimed at modernising power plants and pump stations operating in the water sector of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Separate agreements will be signed to cover particular areas of cooperation.
