Directorate of Delta city project acquires a number of objects in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan ( -- The Directorate for Operation and Construction of New Objects in the International High-Tech Innovation Center “Delta City” under the National Agency for Project Management under the President of Uzbekistan acquired a number of facilities in Tashkent.

The government of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution “On measures to implement the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 4 July 2018 No. PP-3833 “On organizational measures to implement the project “International high-tech innovation center “Delta city” in the city of Tashkent”.

According to the government resolution, International Tashkent Hotel, the building of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Therapy and Medical Rehabilitation will be transferred to the directorate of the Delta City project.

The government transferred to the Directorate the rights of a shareholder on the state-owned block of shares in the authorized capital of Halkaro Hamkorlik Markazi and Uzexpocentre.

Construction of the innovation center is planned on the territory bordering the Iftikhor, Amir Temur, Small Ring and Sandikurgon streets and also covering the land plots of the National Exhibition Complex Uzexpocenter, the International Business Center and the Foreign Economic Association Interservice.

The cost of the project, implemented jointly with the South Korean POSCO Daewoo, is estimated at US$1.4 billion.
