Uzbekistan plans to provide jobs to 952,100 people in 2019

Tashkent, Uzbekistan ( -- Uzbekistan plans to employ 952,100 people in 2019, of which 200,400 citizens will be employed in foreign countries.

The Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of Uzbekistan has published a draft program for creating jobs and providing employment for the population to discussion.

In particular, the Government intends to create 413,000 new jobs and provide employment for 338,700 people in 2019.

The document noted that Uzbekistan plans to withdraw 273,400 workers from the informal employment sector. At the same time, by 2021, the share of the formal employment sector is planned to increase from the current 59.8% to 65%.

According to official data, 550,000 thousand jobs were created in Uzbekistan in 2017-2018. In 9 months of 2018, 325,000 jobs were created.
