Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Alisher Sultanov and representatives of SOCAR (Azerbaijan) and BP (Great Britain) held negotiations, the press service of Uzbekneftegaz said.
The meeting was organized in order to discuss further directions to expand bilateral cooperation.
It was noted that partnership with SOCAR and BP is a priority for the oil and gas industry of Uzbekistan. Among the topical issues - attracting foreign direct investment without the participation of third parties.
On this basis, representatives of foreign companies were invited to explore the possibilities of joint geological exploration of the Aralomorsk, Samsko-Kosbulak and Baiterek investment blocks of the Ustyurt region.
Representatives of the delegations expressed their interest and briefed about the meetings, held on this issue in joint-stock companies “IGIRNIGM”, “Uzbekgeofizika” and “UzLITIneftegaz. The need for seismic and geophysical work was emphasized following a study of the materials provided on these investment blocks.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue in the designated areas.
