Chairman of Horse Breeding and Equestrian Sport Federation of Uzbekistan elected

Tashkent, Uzbekistan ( -- An extraordinary report and election conference of the Uzbekistan Horse Breeding and Equestrian Federation took place at the National Olympic Committee.

The event was attended by the President of the National Olympic Committee, Umid Akhmatdjanov, representatives of the federation, regional branches, coaches, judges and the media, the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan reports.

The purpose of the event is election of a new chairman of the federation of horse breeding and equestrian sports. Abdullayev Feruza Talatovich was nominated for this position. Those present unanimously supported the candidate, and Feruz Abdullayev became the new head of the Federation of Horse Breeding and Equestrian Sport.

“I thank everyone for their support. I can say that in our country equestrian sport has been developing quite well over the past 5-6 years. And together we will try to strengthen this process, especially in the regions,” Feruz Abdullayev said.

In his speech, the President of the NOC, Umid Akhmatdjanov, expressed the hope that at the Olympics in Tokyo-2020 Uzbekistan will perform in equestrian sport competitions.

“We know that the leadership of the federation carried out a large-scale work. We hope that our riders will perform at the Olympics in Tokyo. The new head of the federation will also be included in the NOC Executive Committee. In the development of domestic sports, we will work together,” Umid Akhmatdjanov added.
