Malaysian investors to visit Namangan region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to attract Malaysian companies to implement promising investment projects in Namangan region, on 13 February 2019, the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Malaysia held talks with President of the International Trade Association SMITA Megane Soo, in which framework issues of further development were discussed bilateral mutually beneficial trade, economic and investment cooperation.
The main task of SMITA is to support the Association members in finding new partners abroad for establishing business contacts in order to implement joint investment projects and establish trade relations.
Megane Soo praised the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan to liberalize the economy and improve the business climate and expressed great interest in further strengthening cooperation with Uzbekistan, in particular through organizing joint ventures in leading sectors of the economy and export supplies to Malaysia.
Following the talks, an agreement was reached to send a delegation of the Association members to Namangan region before the end of February 2019 to discuss the implementation of specific investment projects for the construction of a hotel and the establishment of a livestock breeding complex.
