Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of Uzbekistan for the first time presented textile products of Uzbekistan at the largest event in the retail trade in fashion clothing in the UK - the international exhibition Pure London.
On this site, brands and designers from around the world demonstrate shoes, accessories, as well as collections of ready-made clothes.
At Pure London, Uzbekistan was one of over 700 participants from around the world. At the stands allocated for Uzbekistan, the Uztextileprom Association demonstrated textile products of the enterprises of Nil Granit LLC and Istiklol Textile Design LLC, reports Dunyo news agency
Within two days, thousands of specialists and guests visited our booths, and negotiations were held with several international companies.
In particular, the British company Sewport, which unites more than 6,000 global brands, offered the Uzbek side promotional services through its online platform, which will enable domestic companies to advertise their textiles, exchange commercial offers and sign contracts free of charge.
During negotiations with representatives of the Turkish company Finiture Felice, which is part of the Yelkenci Group, the readiness to open a joint venture in Uzbekistan for the production of men’s suits based on European technologies for subsequent export was confirmed.
In addition, representatives of Uztextileprom agreed with the director of the British company Agplado, Antonio Plado, to supply the first trial batch of men’s suits and jackets from Uzbekistan in the amount of about one thousand units to the British market.
The meeting with the representative of the London office of the German company TUV Rheinland Bartosh Vishnievsky was fruitful. The company specializes in checking the compliance of textile products with international standards, their inspection, certification, and training for these areas. The parties agreed to open an office for TUV Rheinland in Uzbekistan to provide services to Uzbek textile manufacturers.
In addition to meetings with foreign colleagues, a fruitful conversation took place with our compatriot Bahodir Akhmedov, director of the UK Global Resources Alliance Ltd, which supplies finished cotton textile products to the British market, as well as organic fruits and vegetables from foreign countries. The entrepreneur expressed his willingness to promote Uzbek textiles, handicrafts, fruits, dried fruits and vegetables in the British market. As a first step, B.Ahmedov proposed to open a showroom of Uzbek products in the city of Norwich, where he lives.
