Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data, in January 2019 Uzbekistan enterprises produced industrial goods worth 22.1 trillion soums, the industrial production index made up 6.9% compared to the same period of 2018. This was reported by the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
The main factor behind the growth in total industrial production was an increase in production in the mining industry and quarrying by 5.3%, manufacturing - by 7.5%, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning - by 4.2%, water supply, sewerage , waste collection and disposal - by 13.5%.
The volume of products produced by mining and quarrying in January 2019 amounted to 4.1 trillion soums, or 18.7% of the total industry.
Compared to the same period of last year, there is an increase in natural gas production by 2.9%. At the same time, coal production decreased by 33.0%, oil - by 5.0%, gas condensate - by 0.3%, rubble - by 30.5% and gravel - by 16.4%.
Manufacturing enterprises in January 2019, produced products to 15.8 trillion soums, or 71.2% of the total industry.
In the structure of the manufacturing industry, as compared with the corresponding period of the previous year, the share of high-tech industries was 1.2% (1.5% in January 2018), medium-high-tech - 27.8% (27.3%), medium - low-tech - 33.8% (31.2%) and low-tech - 37.1% (40.0%).
In the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises producing, repairing, assembling machinery and equipment, manufacturing cars, trailers, semi-trailers and other finished products reached 15.9% (growth by 22.3% by January 2018), the share of the metallurgical industry was 13, 8% (4.4%), for production of food, beverages and tobacco products - 10.7% (20.6%), enterprises for the production of chemical products, rubber and plastic products - 7.7% (1.6%) ), enterprises for the production of textile, clothing and leather products - 13.7% (a decrease of 0.7%).
At the same time, in the manufacturing industry, compared to the corresponding period of last year, the production of trucks increased by 2.1 times, passenger cars — by 38.8%, automobile engines — by 78.1%, buses — by 1.9 times, diesel fuel - by 14.2%, lead-acid batteries for starting piston engines - by 3.0%, running wheels, their parts and accessories - by 74.4%, radiators, noise suppressors and exhaust pipes, couplings, steering wheels , steering columns, crankcases of steering mechanisms and their parts - by 22.3%.
The overhaul of the process equipment made it possible to increase the capacity utilization of chemical enterprises and to exceed the production figures of the previous year in potassium chloride (+ 13.6% by January 2018), urea (+ 24.2%), ammonium sulfate (+64.4 %), ammonium nitrate (+ 29.1%), paints and varnishes based on acrylic or vinyl polymers (+ 59.8%), herbicides (+ 61.7%), caustic soda (+ 76.0%), fertilizers other nitrogen and their mixtures (4.1 times), mineral fertilizers containing nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (1.8 times).
The volume of products produced by the enterprises of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning made up 2.0 trillion soums (9.2% of the total industry).
In this industry in January 2019, compared with the corresponding period of last year, the production, transmission and distribution of electricity, steam supply and air conditioning systems increased by 4.5%, the production and distribution of gaseous fuel - by 0.6%.
The volume of products produced by water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal amounted to 197.6 billion soums (0.9% of the total industry).
Compared with the corresponding period of last year, there is an increase in recycled materials containing aluminum in 2.5 times, recycled materials containing copper in 1.8 times, services for emptying, cleaning and processing cesspools, septic tanks and septic tanks in 6.0 times, water treatment and distribution services for water pipelines - by 48.9%, waste disposal services, transportation of wastewater and their treatment - by 59.4%, non-hazardous waste collection services - by 40.7%.
As a result of measures taken to expand the range and stimulate the production of finished products, consumer goods production reached 6.1 trillion soums and, compared with January 2018, increased by 18.4%, the share in the total industry amounted to 27.6%.
Compared to the same period of 2018, in the structure of consumer goods in January 2019, there is an increase in the share of non-food products from 68.0% to 68.3%.
In the structure of the production of food products, the production of wine-making products and beer was 7.7% (9.0% in January 2018).
During the reporting period, enterprises with foreign investment produced goods for 7.8 trillion soums. The share of products of enterprises with foreign investments in the total production volume amounted to 35.1%.
In the total volume of products of enterprises with foreign investments, the share of mining and quarrying enterprises amounted to 23.2%, manufacturing industry - 76.7%.
In the structure of industrial output of the republic, the largest share falls on the Tashkent region (15.8% of the republican industry), Tashkent (14.3%), Navoi (14.3%), Andijan (10.2%), Kashkadarya (7.1%) and Ferghana (5.8%) Regions.
The consistent implementation of measures to increase the industrial potential of the regions contributed to a significant increase in industrial production in Andijan (+ 22.7% by January 2018), Samarkand (+ 13.1%), Tashkent (+ 10.3%), Namangan (+8, 5%) and Khorezm (+ 8.4%) regions.
At the same time, there was a significant increase in the production of consumer goods in Andijan (+ 46.4% by January 2018), Khorezm (+ 16.3%), Surkhandarya (+ 14.1%) and Syrdarya (+ 11.4%) regions.
At the same time, it should be noted that the largest share of consumer goods was produced in Andijan region (28.2% of the total consumer goods of the republic), Tashkent (20.0%), Samarkand (8.2%) and Tashkent (7.8 %) areas.
Analysis of the differentiation of industrial output per capita showed an excess of the average Republican indicator (671,800 soums) in the Navoi region (3.26 million soums), Tashkent (1.27 million soums), Tashkent (1.21 million soums) and Andijan (740,000 soums) regions.
The production of consumer goods per capita in the reporting period in the republic amounted to 185,200 soums, including in Andijan region – 567,300 soums, the city of Tashkent – 491,600 soums, Navoi region – 173,400 soums, Tashkent region – 165,600 soums and Syrdarya region – 164,600 soums.
During the reporting period, small businesses produced goods to 5.9 trillion soums. The share of small business in the total production reached 26.5%.
In terms of regions, the largest share of small business was observed in Tashkent (73.0% of the total industry of the region), Namangan (58.7%), Jizzakh (50.1%), Samarkand (43.3%), Surkhandarya (36.4%), Syrdarya (34.4%) and Ferghana (27.6%) regions.
At the same time, the smallest share of small business in the regions was noted in Navoi (8.8%), Kashkadarya (13.6%), the Republic of Karakalpakstan (13.8%), Andijan (17.4%) regions.
To date, 59,000 industrial enterprises operate in the republic, of which 13,700 (23.2% of the total number of operating enterprises) are in Tashkent, 6,500 (11.0%) - on Ferghana, 6,200 (10.5%) - in Tashkent region.
In January 2019, 2,424 industrial enterprises were established in the republic, of which more than 55.1% fall on the city of Tashkent, Bukhara, Tashkent, Samarkand and Ferghana regions.
