A Small Hydropower Plant with a Capacity of 320 kW Launched in Tashkent Region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A small hydropower plant with a capacity of 320 kW has been commissioned on the Damarik Canal in the Zangiata District of Tashkent Region.
The project, implemented by a private entrepreneur, envisions the construction of a hydropower facility with a total capacity of 640 kW. The first phase already allows the plant to generate half of the planned capacity.
Once operating at full capacity, the station will produce approximately 3.2 million kWh of electricity per year, supplying power to around 1,300 households in the region.
On the day of the plant’s inauguration, a special seminar-training session was held for entrepreneurs interested in the development of small hydropower projects.
