Alexey Erkhov Appointed as New Russian Ambassador to Uzbekistan / Photo: Anadolu Agency
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Alexey Erkhov as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The corresponding decree was published on the official Russian legal information portal.
Prior to this appointment, Erkhov headed Russia’s diplomatic mission in Turkey.
The previous Russian ambassador to Uzbekistan, Oleg Malginov, concluded his diplomatic service in June of this year.
