Alisher Boboev Appointed as First Deputy Minister of Health of Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Alisher Boboev has been appointed as the First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Health’s press service reported. The corresponding decree was signed by the President of the country.

Alisher Boboev graduated from the Tashkent State Medical Institute in 1996 and continued his studies in the clinical residency program at the same institution. He began his professional career in 1998 at the Tashkent State Medical Institute as a senior lab assistant.

Over the years, he held positions as a senior lab assistant at the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute, a urologist at the multiprofile Central Polyclinic of the Almazar District, and also worked at the consultative-diagnostic polyclinic and the urology department of the Republican Clinical Hospital No. 1. Additionally, he served as chief specialist in the Ministry of Health’s secretariat.

Before his current appointment, Boboev headed the Health Department of the Kashkadarya region.

Previously, in January 2024, First Deputy Minister of Health Alisher Shadmanov went on leave for long-term medical treatment, and his duties were temporarily performed by Davron Sultanov, Head of the Health Development Department of the Social Development Directorate of the Presidential Administration.
