Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 20 August, during a meeting with entrepreneurs, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced the creation of a new investment platform designed to simplify capital attraction and enable companies to work directly with investors.

The Head of State noted that under current regulations, an investor’s participation in a project requires being included among the founders of a limited liability company. Such a mechanism is not suitable for many, and as a result, the primary burden of business financing continues to fall on banks.

The new investment platform is intended to change this situation. Companies will now be able to showcase their projects, while investors can select the most promising areas for investment.

According to the President, this tool will allow entrepreneurs to attract up to one billion US dollars in additional funding annually.
