Britain to Experience Uzbek Cuisine and Culture through “Uzbekistan Caravan” Tour
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of efforts to boost the tourism sector and spark greater interest among international travelers, the Committee on Tourism of Uzbekistan is organizing a cultural and gastronomic tour titled Uzbekistan Caravan, which will take place from 5 to 17 June in six major cities across the United Kingdom.
The tour will cover London, Manchester, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Oxford, and Cardiff. Residents and visitors of these cities will have the opportunity to sample traditional Uzbek cuisine and learn more about Uzbekistan’s tourism potential and cultural heritage.
The primary aim of the event is to promote a positive international image of Uzbekistan as a travel destination, strengthen cultural ties, and generate lasting interest among British audiences in the country.
This initiative is being implemented with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the UK, the London-based Uzbek restaurant OshPaz, and renowned chef Bakhritdin Chustiy.
The Uzbekistan Caravan will serve as a prelude to the large-scale Festival of Uzbek Culture and National Cuisine, scheduled for 21–22 June at Tower Bridge — one of London’s most iconic and visited landmarks.
