Cases of Illegal Religious Teaching Uncovered in Tashkent Region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As a result of joint operations conducted by the State Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, authorities have uncovered cases of illegal religious education organized by two unemployed citizens aged 21 and 43.
Specifically, a 21-year-old individual was found to have conducted religious lessons for 31 children at a private residence in the Zangiota district of Tashkent Region. Meanwhile, a 43-year-old man held classes for 12 minors at a house in Tashkent district.
Legal measures have been taken against both individuals for their unauthorized activities. In addition, disciplinary actions have been imposed on the parents who failed to fulfill their legal responsibilities in the upbringing of their children.
