Child's Death in Car Sparks Investigation in Kashkadarya
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Authorities in the Kasbi district of Uzbekistan’s Kashkadarya region have launched a preliminary investigation into the tragic death of a two-year-old girl who was left unattended in a car belonging to the head of a private kindergarten. The incident was confirmed by Hayot Shamsutdinov, spokesperson for the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to initial reports, the tragedy occurred on the morning of June 20. The head of the private preschool had picked up several children in her personal vehicle but allegedly left one of the girls inside the closed car. The child reportedly remained in the vehicle without supervision until noon, when she was found dead.
Staff from the kindergarten informed the child’s family, stating that the girl had suddenly fallen ill. Her grandmother and mother rushed to the clinic where she was taken, only to be told that the child was already unresponsive upon arrival. Her body was sent for forensic examination to determine the exact cause of death.
In connection with the incident, the private kindergarten’s operations have been temporarily suspended. Prosecutors emphasized that thorough and impartial investigations will be conducted. Preliminary findings suggest that the tragedy resulted from negligence and a failure to fulfill professional responsibilities on the part of the preschool’s management.
“All aspects of the case will be thoroughly reviewed. A legal decision will be made based on the findings,” said Hayot Shamsutdinov.
