Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new US$5 million investment project in the leather and footwear industry is launching in Uzbekistan, initiated by the Chinese company Simple Leasing.

Preliminary negotiations on the project were held with Angren Charm LLC in the Tashkent region. The plan includes implementing modern technological equipment, expanding the range of products, and increasing the export potential of enterprises in the sector.

During a meeting at the Uzcharmsanoat Association, organizational and legal aspects of the project were discussed. The parties exchanged specific proposals regarding technical requirements, production volumes, market segments, and export directions.

Simple Leasing plans to visit Uzbekistan in September with a delegation to sign the agreement. The visit will include tours of production facilities, finalizing negotiations with local partners, and an official signing ceremony.

Uzcharmsanoat Association leadership noted that cooperation with Simple Leasing will be an important step in attracting international financial resources and modern technologies to the leather industry. The project is expected to create new jobs, improve product quality, and strengthen competitiveness in foreign markets.
