Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Construction has officially commenced on the Margilan City Mall, a major multi-functional complex in the city of Margilan, Ferghana region. The large-scale development will integrate commercial, residential, and recreational infrastructure.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place in the Navruz mahalla, where multi-storey apartment buildings are actively being built as part of the “Yangi O‘zbekiston” residential area. The event was attended by Ferghana region hokim Khayrullo Bozorov, representatives of the construction sector, and respected local elders.

The project, with a total investment of US$35 million, includes:

– a modern shopping and entertainment center,
– 11 residential buildings of 12, 14, and 16 storeys,
– 785 apartments,
– parking facilities,
– children’s playgrounds, and
– a spacious atrium.

Regional officials were presented with detailed plans for the complex, including timelines for each phase of implementation. Following traditional prayers led by community elders, the construction was officially launched.
