Criminal Case Opened in Tashkent Over Death of Child at Private Clinic
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A criminal case has been initiated in Tashkent following the death of a nine-year-old child at the private clinic Paeonnis, located in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district.
The tragedy occurred after the child underwent nasal surgery. It is known that the patient had undergone a medical examination at the same clinic a week prior to the procedure.
According to the General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan, the case is being investigated under Article 116 of the Criminal Code (“Improper Performance of Professional Duties”). Investigative authorities are conducting a range of measures, including questioning involved parties, holding confrontational interviews, and ordering several medical examinations.
The Prosecutor’s Office emphasized that the investigation will be comprehensive, thorough, and objective, and that a lawful decision will be made based on its results.
