The meeting of the Ministers of defense of the member states of the SCO will be held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on 26 June 2013.

The delegation of Uzbekistan is headed by the first deputy defense minister of Uzbekistan Shavkat Normatov.

The session will be attended by representatives of Kazakhstan, China, Russia and Tajikistan, as well as the SCO officials.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) is a permanent intergovernmental international organisation creation of which was proclaimed on 15 June 2001 in Shanghai (China) by the Republic of Kazakhstan, the People’s Republic of China, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

India Iran, Mongolia and Pakistan have observer status at the SCO. Belarus, Turkey and Sri Lanka are dialogue partners of the SCO.
