Diyora Keldiyorova Joins the IJF Athletes' Commission
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — 2024 Paris Olympic gold medalist Diyora Keldiyorova has been elected to the Athletes' Commission of the International Judo Federation (IJF), the Uzbekistan Judo Federation has announced.
A total of 20 candidates from all continents were nominated for the Commission. Five of them were put forward by continental judo unions, and another four were nominated by the IJF Executive Committee.
Following the vote, nine athletes were selected to serve on the Commission, representing South Africa, Japan, Italy, Australia, Cuba, Kosovo, the Czech Republic, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan.
Keldiyorova’s election is a recognition of her outstanding athletic achievements and international standing in the sport. As a Commission member, she will represent the interests of athletes and take part in shaping and implementing the IJF’s sports policy during the 2025–2029 Olympic cycle.
