Earthquake in Bukhara Region Felt in Several Districts

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 14 July 2025 at 15:55 Tashkent time, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 was recorded in Uzbekistan. The event was reported by the Seismic Forecasting Monitoring Center under the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The epicenter of the tremors was located in the Jondor district of Bukhara region. The earthquake originated at a depth of 15 kilometers, with coordinates at 40.42°N latitude and 62.99°E longitude.

At the epicenter, the intensity of the quake reached 4 points on the seismic scale. In other parts of the Bukhara region, the tremors were felt with less intensity: 2–3 points in Peshkun district (39 km from the epicenter), 2 points in the city of Gazli (51 km), and 2 points in the Karakul district (73 km).

The distance from the epicenter to Uzbekistan’s capital, Tashkent, was 532 kilometers to the southwest.
