Eldor Shomurodov Scores First Goal for Başakşehir in Turkish League
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Captain of the Uzbekistan national football team and forward for Istanbul’s Başakşehir, Eldor Shomurodov, scored his first goal in the Turkish Süper Lig.
On 13 September, in the fifth round of the league, Başakşehir faced Beşiktaş. Shomurodov opened the scoring in the 71st minute, finishing a cross from the left flank.
However, three minutes later, Beşiktaş equalized with a goal by El Bilal Touré. In the 89th minute, Başakşehir defender Ba received a red card.
Two minutes later, Cengiz Ünder scored the winning goal for Beşiktaş. Near the end of the match, Orkun Kökçü of Beşiktaş also received a red card.
Uzbek national team player Abbosbek Fayzullaev entered the field in the third minute of second-half stoppage time.
